“Msichana Asome” is a campaign under Embrace Africa, a non-governmental organization that is registered and operates nationwide. Embrace Africa is committed to ensure gender equality through aiding in accessing formal education, especially to adolescent girls in the community to eliminate poverty. In many rural communities, adolescent girls face significant challenges that denies them their right to access quality education. The main challenges that the organization focuses on include poverty, gender inequality, cultural norms such as female genital mutilation and forced early marriages, and gender roles that discriminate girl child.
